President of DWG 2017 Christian Knop welcomes colleagues and delegates to the German Spine Congress 2017, in Stuttgart, taking place from 30 November to 2 December 2017
Dear colleagues and friends of the German Spine Society,
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the upcoming 12th Annual Meeting of the German Spine Society (DWG) in Stuttgart. The German Spine Congress will take place at the International Congress Center in Stuttgart, from 30 November until 2 December, 2017.
I would like all spine surgeons to feel welcome to the meeting. This year we are focusing on ‘Trauma and Tumour’ but will discuss all up-to-date spinal surgery issues. The German Spine Congress gives the opportunity to share and enhance your knowledge in spinal surgery.
Main topics of the meeting include degenerative diseases, tumor diseases, inflammatory and metabolic diseases, injuries, deformities and innovative techniques. Plus the congress will also host a commercial exhibition.
We hope to strengthen the exchange of knowledge between members and invited speakers of the North American Spine Society. This year, with an increasing number of international guests, we expect more than 2,600 participants to join in. We hope membership in the DWG might exceed 2,000 members at the opening of the 12th Annual Meeting in Stuttgart.
The International Congress Center Stuttgart is located at the international airport with an easy connection to Stuttgart’s city centre. Aside from DWG’s annual meeting, Stuttgart’s rich culture program will surprise you, with the Stuttgart Ballet, the State Opera, the State Gallery and the Museum of Art, also numerous theatres, concerts and museums. Stuttgart is a modern, cosmopolitan city, also known worldwide for being the home of Mercedes-Benz and Porsche with their famous museums.
I look forward to welcoming you in Stuttgart in November.
Yours, Cristian Knop
