DePuy Synthes Spine team demonstrate holistic approach to spine surgery at Eurospine

Johnson & Johnson medical devices companies, led by the DePuy Synthes Spine team, showcased a holistic approach to spine pathologies at the Eurospine 2015 conference held in Copenhagen in September. The ‘procedural solutions’ approach accounts for the fact that clinical needs in spinal surgery go far beyond the provision of products, and addresses the main clinical challenges by helping to improve overall practice efficiencies.
“Procedural Solutions is a concept developed to take care of spine pathologies in a collaborative way with our clinical partners, and to support them in achieving better results in terms of clinical outcome, patient satisfaction and costs – the Triple Aim”, said Chris Eigenmann, director EMEA spine and neuro marketing at DePuy Synthes. “Surgeons, management, hospital staff and patients all benefit equally from the collaboration.”
The ‘procedural solutions’ experience, including products, enabling technologies, professional education programmes and services, is demonstrated along four prominent surgical indications: Adult degenerative deformity, thoracolumbar degenerative disc disease, cervical degenerative disc disease and vertebral fractures in elderly patients.
