iFuse Implant System® – the method of choice for sacroiliac joint fusion

Clinical publications have identified the sacroiliac joint as a pain generator in up to 25 per cent of low back pain patients. DePalma studied lumbar fusion patients who were experiencing persistent or new lower back pain (LBP) postoperatively. The results demonstrated that 43 per cent of post-lumbar fusion patients were symptomatic for sacroiliac joint disorders based on diagnostic blocks.

SI-BONE developed the iFuse Implant System, a minimally invasive surgical (MIS) device indicated for fusion of the sacroiliac joint. The triangular implants designed specifically to stabilise and fuse the heavily loaded SI joint. More than 16,000 procedures have been performed with the iFuse Implant System – the method of choice for SI joint fusion. Multiple published studies have documented procedure safety and effectiveness.
