PercuDyn™

PercuDyn System from Interventional Spine Inc is the first and only PERCUTANEOUS Bilateral Facet-Augmentation System for treating degenerative disc disease (DDD), facet joint pain and Lumbar Spinal Stenosis (LSS). PercuDyn acts as a mechanical stop between the articulating facets, limiting extension and thus compression of the central canal, as well as reducing intradiscal pressure. The Teleport Tissue Retractor provides sequential dilation for a truly PERCUTANEOUS approach; one level is performed through bilateral 15mm incisions. PercuDyn is technically simple to implant and the over-the-wire technique aids accurate placement. The PercuDyn device consists of two components: a 4.5mm titanium anchor, which is placed into the pedicle and a PCU stabiliser, which is advanced on to the anchor and acts as the mechanical stop between the articulating facets. The procedure can be done under general or local anaesthetic and can thus be carried out as a day case procedure.
