Quantum™ Spinal Rod System in Europe

Pioneer Surgical Technology successfully introduced its low profile Quantum Spinal Rod System in Europe. The Quantum system can be considered as the next generation spinal rodding technology. Fast, consistent and easy to use are the key features.

The three stage locking is unique: BLOCKING allows free movement of the screw head while retaining screw/rod capture, STOPPING allows for compression/distraction and rod rotation, LOCKING results into fixed and consistent screw/rod relationship. Unlike torque locking devices, this last locking position can be easily unlocked in order to achieve a more satisfying result (compression/distraction adjustments). This assures a consistent reliable lock.

It comes with an easy-to-use set of instrumentation. The persuader provides easy and elegant retraction in lysthesis cases. The set is complete with 4.75 -7.75 mm. poly-axial and fixed pedicle screws in a wide variety of lengths, 5.5mm diameter straight and bent rods and X-Links.

MIS Recently Pioneer Surgical Technology Inc. announced the introduction of its Quantum MIS Rodding System. This system is designed for one or two level fixation and uses regular Quantum Polyaxial Screws and Locking Caps along with MIS Rods. This guarantees a seamless convertion from Minimal Invasive to Mini-Open to Open surgery. The system is now available in Europe.
