Medtech’s ROSA robot to be featured at three major congresses
Medtech, a company specialising in designing, developing and marketing innovative surgical assistance robots,has featured its ROSA® robot at three major congresses in June.
The annual congress of the SFCR (French society of spine surgery)
The event, in Lyon, France, from 9–11 June, gathered the entire community of spine surgeons in France. On this occasion, Medtech gave demonstrations of its ROSA® robot.
During the congress, Cyrille Capel, neurosurgeon at Amiens-Picardy University Hospital, presented the clinical results of a series of twenty patients who underwent pedicle screw fixation spine surgery with the ROSA® robot.
The annual congress of the DGNC (German Society of Neurosurgery)
This congress, from 13–15 June in Frankfurt, Germany saw Medtech present in a booth. Germany is the leading European market for neurosurgery, with more than 1,400 hospital centers offering treatment of disorders of the central nervous system (brain and spine).
During the congress at Medtech’s booth, Thomas Freiman from Frankfurt University Hospital presented his scientific conclusions on biopsies performed with the ROSA® robot.
Prof. Mohammad Maarouf, neurosurgeon at Krankenhaus Merheim in Cologne, presented the results of his clinical activity for robotic-assisted brain surgery.
Prof. Michael WINKING from Osnarbrück clinic shared his experiences about the advantages of using ROSA® for spine surgery.
The annual congress of the ASSFN (American Society of Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery)
This scientific meeting held from 19–21 June in Chicago, USA, will gather experts from leading American neurosurgery centers. Those in the field will be able to learn about using ROSA® for brain surgery (Booth #105). ROSA will be highlighted in a pre-show workshop on functional neurosurgery to be conducted on Saturday, June 18th.
