iLESSYS® Delta – New system for treatment of central spinal stenosis
As an advanced development of the joimax® iLESSYS® technology, iLESSYS® Delta is especially suitable for dorsal and dorso-lateral treatment of central spinal canal stenosis and can also be used for posterior access to the cervical spine.
With the iLESSYS® Delta system, a large area can be decompressed by means of the interlaminar access, guided by endoscopic-assisted vision. For this purpose several instruments, which are inserted through the new HD endoscope (6mm working channel with outstanding image quality), are available.
The surgical approach is especially structure-sparing. Soft tissue undergoes stepwise dilation. Under endoscopic view only the compressing structures are removed, e.g. hypertrophic ligamentum flavum and the lamina.
iLESSYS® Delta system is not only suitable for endoscopic decompression, but also allows the parallel implantation of EndoLIF® cages. Thus dorsal endoscopic decompression and stabilisation can be achieved in one step.
