Medtech, who specialise in the design, development and marketing of surgical robots has announced the CE Marking of its new product ROSA™Spine, a minimally invasive spine surgery robotic assistant.
This regulatory approval now allows the marketing of ROSA™Spine robot in Europe. ROSA Spine robot will be dedicated in priority to pedicle screws procedures (over one million surgical procedures a year performed worldwide).

First ROSA™Spine patient surgeries were successfully performed for the placement of pedicle screws. Such surgeries were performed for the treatment of degenerative lumbar spine diseases. This mono-centric pilot study aimed at assessing the accuracy provided by robotic guidance systems.

“We are very proud to have reached this major milestone in the development of the company. Obtaining CE marking again reflects our ability to meet the commitments made during the IPO. With the introduction of ROSA™robot on the spine market, Medtech reinforces its position as the European leader in surgical robotics,” stated Bertin Nahum, CEO and Founder of Medtech.
